Carlos and Liz met on online in 2015. Carlos was very persistent in meeting Liz because he knew immediately that "she was the one". Liz was not rushing anything and played a little hard to get at first. One day, after much persistence, Liz finally agreed to meet Carlos at a Caribou Coffee in Eden Prairie after a sweaty work out hoping it would get him to back off. However, much to Liz's surprise, Carlos swooned at her glistening skin and requested to see her more. there was something about him that seemed to draw her back.

Subsequently, they had their official first date at Minnehaha Falls where they shared their first kiss and ignited a relationship and adventure filled with many laughs, travels, and love.
